Mission Serve Lake Providence, LA

Hey everyone!

Just finished a week of roofing, painting, worshipping, soccer, and becoming better friends with a bunch of cool people!  The town we were in last week is the 2nd poorest county in the nation, so needless to say Jesus still has a lot to do in that town.  The biggest prayer other than the materials needed just for shelter and meals would be that Christ break down the barriers of segregation.  As long as towns like that continue to lack unity it will be hard for anything to get done.  Plus Christ wants us to be unified in Him!  So pray for Lake providence that Christ would soften and change hearts to be more like his.
Burgundy Road has the week off this week so it's a great time to hang out with family, friends, and just truly get recharged.  Please pray for us that our relationships would continue to grow closer to Christ and that he would use us for his will.  We never want to fall into a place where what we do is for ourselves, may everything we do glorify him and his kingdom!  Thank you so much for your support through prayer and be blessed the remainder of the summer!!!

Super Summer

Just finished with Super Summer session 5 last week and it was incredible.  Ryan Fontenot was an incredible tool for God and it was a blessing just to be a part of what Christ was doing at that camp.  We pray for all of you that you would remember what happened there and continue progressing the kingdom of Christ.  Be sure to take time out of your day to be still.  Don't get so caught up in doing life that you forget to spend time alone with Him so that He may take you the direction that is best for His glory.  We love all of you and can't wait to worship with you again sometime in the future!

Mission Carlsbad!!! And the trip here...

We've arrived here in Carlsbad, NM for a missions camp where all the students have already begun working really hard on whatever there project may be.  All the students have split up into groups and are working hard for the cause of Jesus in this city!  So far the most interesting thing about our trip was our awesome stop for dinner yesterday on the way here.  The restaurant sign read "Steak House, lunch steaks available, and Mexican Food."  So naturally that sounded great.  However, we walked up to the door and the door read "italian night, for a good cause."  The good cause was a fundraiser for one of the waitresses there to go study abroad overseas.  So we were ok with that and naturally Nik was excited to try some authentic italian food (off of I-10 in South Texas, home of authentic italians).  We had three menu choices: Chicken Fettucini Alfredo, Lasagna, and Spagetti w/ meatballs.  We asked the waitress what she recommended and these were the words out of her mouth, "Well, I haven't actually tried any of them but our chef is incredible and the Chicken fettucini alfredo looks good!"  So naturally most of us got that while I got lasagna.  Our meals were delivered and it didn't look too bad.  But then Nik had his first bite and his face was priceless.  The chicken alfredo sauce was actually cream gravy like what would go on your chicken fried steak!!  Awesome.  But my lasagna was good, so I was fine;-)  Something tells me even the camp food this week will be far superior to the Chicken cream gravy alfredo.

I hope everyone has a blessed day!
